About the College

Message from the Dean

Welcome to ASU’s College of Teacher Education & Leadership (CTEL), where our students and faculty members work daily to make a difference. CTEL offers quality undergraduate and graduate teacher preparation programs in early childhood, elementary, secondary, and special education. In addition, CTEL also offers leading Master’s programs which lead to certification in areas such as reading, educational administration, and technology with two programs offered completely online. Our doctoral program in leadership and innovation has gained national recognition for its use-inspired research component.

Arizona State University recently consolidated all teacher preparation and undergraduate education programs into one college. CTEL now administers teacher preparation programs offered across all four of ASU’s campuses including Downtown Phoenix, Polytechnic, Tempe and West, as well as partner school districts all over Arizona.

The impact of this major academic reorganization benefits our students so they have greater access to specialized instruction, and it strengthens the efficiency and quality of academic programs. We invite you to join us, and take a step toward your future success as a school leader.
