Congratulations on your decision to move forward in your education with a graduate degree! Whether you’re currently a teacher wanting to deepen your knowledge and advance your career or a non-education professional ready to enter into a teacher preparation program, CTEL’s academic advisors are here to help.
We encourage you to learn more about our programs by attending a prospective student orientation, calling 602-543-3634, or emailing CTELquestions@asu.edu.
TRANSFER OF CREDITS
If you would like to apply current or previous graduate-level coursework to your degree through CTEL, the number of hours transferred from other institutions may not exceed 20% of the total minimum semester hours required for the M.Ed. program. Thus, a maximum of six (6) hours may be transferred for a given program. A maximum of nine (9) semester hours may be transferred to the Ed.D. program. In some cases, advanced standing in the Ed.D. may be allowed for up to nine semester hours.
CTEL's Department of Graduate Studies and Professional Development (GSPD) provides oversight and coordination for all graduate programs in the College of Teacher Education and Leadership. The Doctor of Education in Leadership and Innovation and the Master of Education in Administration and Supervision are housed within the department while other M.Ed. programs are housed within the respective departments of Elementary, Secondary, and Special Education.
