MASTER OF EDUCATION PLUS ARIZONA CERTIFICATION (MAC) ON CAMPUS

The College of Teacher Education and Leadership offers regular prospective students orientations for all students interested in the Master in Education plus Arizona Certification (MAC) at Arizona State University's West campus. Local students are required to attend an orientation before seeking individual advisement. Out-of-state and other long-distance undergraduate students should call 602-543-3634 or e-mail CTELgrad@asu.edu.

Attendance at an orientation is required for admission to the College of Teacher Education and Leadership

Park in the visitors’ parking lot ($2 per hour)
Arrive on time! If you are 10+ minutes late, you will be asked to reschedule.

MASTER OF EDUCATION PLUS ARIZONA CERTIFICATION (MAC) COMMUNITY-BASED COHORTS

The College of Teacher Education and Leadership has partnerships with school districts across the Valley to offer site-based MAC programs close to home or work. Orientations are offered at these locations on a regular basis, or you may choose to attend the MAC orientation at the West campus. The following are current community-based cohorts:

MAC in Elementary Education, Deer Valley District, Phoenix (starts each fall)
This 12-month evening program starts June 2. All classes, field experiences, and student teaching take place in the district. Applications are no longer being accepted for the Falll 2008 semester.

MAC in Elementary Education, Osborn District, Phoenix (starts each Spring)
This 12-month day program starts in January. All classes, field experiences, and student teaching take place in the district. Orientations and sneaker tours are offered at the district office, 1226 W Osborn Rd, Phoenix:

  • May 6, 12 pm – 4 pm (sneaker tour)
  • July 29, 6 pm – 7:30 pm
  • October 14, 8 am – 12 pm (sneaker tour)

inMAC in Secondary Education, Deer Valley District, Phoenix (starts each Fall)
This two-year, part-time, evening program allows highly qualified applicants to work as teachers within the Deer Valley district while pursuing an M.Ed. and permanent certification. Applications are no longer being accepted for the Fall 2008 semester.

MASTER OF EDUCATION PROGRAMS

Master of Education cohorts are offered on campus and in the north Valley for certified teachers.

DOCTOR OF EDUCATION

Ed.D. in Leadership and Innovation cohorts start each each summer. Prospective student orientations will take place on campus September through December. Please email CTELquestions@asu.edu to be placed on the mailing list for updates
