with Arizona Certification
Degree
The master's degree in Secondary Education with Certification is a specialization designed for those with bachelor's degrees who wish to earn both an M.Ed. degree and Arizona State Teacher Certification. The program is for those who are not teaching and wish to earn the degree and certification on a part-time or full-time basis. See state requirements.
Current Delivery Formats
In order to ensure your application for the M.Ed. in Secondary Education with Certification is properly processed, when completing the Personal Statement in the Degree Program section of the on-line application, please indicate which of the following formats fits your needs:
- On-campus, evening, 16-month program at ASU’s West campus (starts in the fall and spring)
- Off-campus, internship program (inMAC) in the Deer Valley Unified School District (starts fall 2008)

Political Science/American Government
Social Studies
These specializations are available, and all coursework can be taken at the West campus. Specializations in other areas , such as business, German, and Spanish, require a methods course to be taken at the Tempe campus.
